Erika Jayne appears to be turning a new page in both her personal life and public image.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star was photographed in Los Angeles on July 7 holding hands with a new partner — John McPhee, a retired U.S. Army Special Operations Sergeant Major known by the nickname “Shrek.”

Erika Jayne’s New Romance Goes Public

Erika, who typically turns heads with her glam looks, kept things casual in jeans, a T-shirt, sneakers, and a ball cap. She ditched the makeup and carried a simple black clutch while strolling through a parking lot beside McPhee, who wore a graphic tee that read “Slaughter Things,” cargo shorts, and Crocs.

Though Erika has previously mentioned casually dating since her split from disgraced ex-husband Tom Girardi, this is the first public indication of a more serious connection.

From Divorce Drama to a Fresh Start

In a November 2024 interview with The Daily Dish, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star confirmed she was open to dating, even if no one specific had caught her eye just yet. “I mean, am I dating? The answer is yes. Am I open to dating? Yes. Is there anyone in particular I’m dating? No, but I will say this, the women in my cast, we need — we’re all single, because there’s not a man to be found — we need to get out and socialize a little bit,” she said.

Erika filed for divorce from Girardi in November 2020 after over two decades of marriage. The case, however, has dragged on due to his multiple legal troubles, including a criminal embezzlement case and a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Last month, Girardi was sentenced to 87 months in federal prison for stealing millions from clients. Erika has consistently denied any wrongdoing and was cleared of all legal responsibility in the case in 2022.

While her former husband faces a future behind bars, the outing marks a notable new chapter for Erika, who has continued filming and performing amid legal fallout and personal reinvention.
