Did Erin Lichy just shade Rebecca Minkoff?
On a panel during Bravo Fan Fest in Miami on Nov. 23, Lichy and Ubah Hassan spoke about the bags they received from their Real Housewives of New York City costar (who by the way is a widely-famous fashion designer).
“Do either of you own a Rebecca Minkoff bag?” the moderator asked.
“I do, we both do. She gave us this huge…” Hassan, 41, said when Lichy interjected by confirming they were “gifted” accessories rather than purchased.
Fans in the audience seemingly took that as a subtle dig as hollers can be heard in the background.
“No! I mean, it's not my style, but I like the bag she gave us,” Lichy, 37, clarified.
Hassan continued to compliment her present from Minkoff, saying she uses her bag “all the time.”
Lichy and Minkoff, 42, recently found themselves mixed with controversy in the Nov. 12 episode of RHONY, thanks to a pregnancy prank that didn’t quite land with the rest of the ladies.
The duo planted the rumor that Minkoff — who is a parent of four with her husband Gavin Bellour — was pregnant but didn't know who the father was after a "crazy night."
While intending to weed out who the rumor-spilling "leaky pigeon" — or group gossip — was, the joke quickly turned serious and was even interpreted as “tone deaf” by Said de Silva in the following week's episode.
"I mean, there are three women who want to be pregnant," she said as the scene shifted over to Hassan, Jessel Tank and Brynn Whitfield. "I think maybe Rebecca and Erin need to possibly check their baby privilege at the door."
Speaking with PEOPLE at Bravo Fan Fest, Lichy — who is expecting her fourth child with her husband, Abe — shared: "I thought it was kind of a crazy idea to make that rumor about yourself," adding, "But I was down to carry it out because I wanted to see who the pigeons really were."
Minkoff, who joined the second season of the rebooted RHONY series, seems to be in good standing with all of the women though.
At the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards, she told PEOPLE, "We’re all bonded. This is a true bonding experience, being friends and then all the time we spend together. I kinda love them all.”
