In Week 4 of the 2024 NFL regular season Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills got their doors blown off by the Baltimore Ravens in a 35-10 smackdown.
With a shot at revenge on Sunday night in a divisional round showdown, the Bills avenged their earlier loss with a thrilling 27-25 victory. Despite being out-gained in the contest, Buffalo leaned on its defense, causing three turnovers en route to the win.
"We're excited. [There's] a lot of pride in that locker room. We don't listen to the outside noise," star quarterback Josh Allen told reporters after the game. "Everyone was saying this and that about us. Our guys continue to work hard. We are internally driven."
"...We gave our defense a chance to go make a play. We made a play there at the end. I'm just so proud of our guys."
With the win, Buffalo booked its tickets to the AFC title game where it will face off against a familiar foe. Waiting for the Bills in the conference title game was Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, fresh off of their win over the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon.
As the AFC title game draws near, the Chiefs open as a slight one-point favorite, according to ESPN Bet. However, ESPN's Football Power Index, a predictive computer model, disagrees.
ESPN's FPI gives the Bills a 54.1% chance to win the game, while giving the Chiefs a 45.9% chance to avoid the upset.
Buffalo and Kansas City kick off at 6:30 p.m. EST on Sunday. The game will be broadcast on CBS and Paramount+.
