Eva Marcille & Michael Sterling Experienced a Big "First" With Their Daughter, Marley Rae

The RHOA alum shared the family update after "soft launch[ing]" with her ex-husband.

Eva Marcille is looking quite happy these days.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum made headlines this month after confirming her reconciliation with Michael Sterling. Eva shared a closer look at the rekindled romance via Instagram on Tuesday (July 15), after she and her ex-husband marked an exciting “first” with their daughter, Marley Rae.

“Last night was epic,” Eva captioned a July 15 carousel. “Marley‘s first concert ever with Mom and Dad, and she went and saw the Queen [Bee emoji]!!! Thank you Baby [Michael].”

The post began with an adorable shot of Eva and Marley posing side by side in front of a Range Rover. Marley was seen rocking a red spaghetti strap, cut-off denim shorts, white sneakers, and a red cowboy hat, while Eva stepped out in distressed jeans, a black graphic tee, a red paisley-print scarf, and a black cowboy hat with metal detailing.

The following slides showed Eva, Marley, and Michael at Beyoncé’s final Atlanta show for the Cowboy Carter Tour. One of the uploads captured the family enjoying a pre-concert meal at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and another showed them standing in the crowd singing along to Bey’s performance.

Eva shared the family update nearly two years after she and Michael finalized their divorce. The pair tied the knot in October 2018 when Marley Rae was 4 years old. Eva split from her daughter’s biological father around 2015, and Michael adopted Marley Rae in 2019.

Eva spoke about the adoption during a 2020 appearance on the Rickey Smiley Show, explaining that Michael has been Marley Rae’s life since she was a baby, and was her only father figure.

“So Marley was born in 2014, and I gave her her biological father’s name. And after two months we (Eva and her ex) became estranged, and I raised her as a single mom,” she said. “And then, the good Lord saw fit for me to meet an amazing man, Michael Sterling, who has become my husband and the father of my later children (sons Mikey Todd and Maverick Sterling).

“Long story short, we all have the name Sterling, and Marley is the only one with her biological father’s name and I saw it necessary and Mike saw it necessary to change her name,” Eva continued. “I must say, it is not an easy process and it is not for the faint of heart.”

Eva revealed her reconciliation with Michael on July 5, when she posted a sweet video of her and her ex-hubby riding a golf cart at EssenceFest 2025. After welcoming her followers to the event, Eva put her head on Michael’s shoulder and displayed an infectious smile.

“I’m floating,” the caption read. “Soft launch.”
