Another celebrity cast reveal has brought Us one step closer to a new season of Dancing With the Stars.
The highly successful 33rd season of the ballroom dance competition aired from September to November 2024, with Bachelor Joey Graziadei and pro partner Jenna Johnson winning the coveted mirrorball trophy. The season broke records, drawing in the best ratings among adults 18-24 in four years. More than 32 million votes were cast for the season finale.
Speaking to Us Weekly exclusively after their victory, both Joey and Jenna were still in shock.
“I don’t even know how I felt. I honestly blacked out,” Joey told Us in November 2024. “I just remember [Jenna] screaming really, really loud. I remember hugging her.”
Jenna, meanwhile, joked that the trophy was “heavier than I thought it was going to be.”
Joey, Jenna and their castmates later set off on the DWTS Live Tour, which came to an end in April. But the excitement didn’t slow down — ABC announced the first cast member for season 34 that same month.

DWTS season 34 will premiere on ABC and Disney+ Tuesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.
Robert Irwin, son of the late Steve Irwin, was the first cast member to be confirmed in April. He exclusively told Us the following month that he’d be leaning on his sister, Bindi Irwin, for support following her own DWTS appearance — and victory — in 2015.
“I remember watching [her] on that show just thinking, ‘This is the coolest thing ever,'” Robert told Us.
Later in May, influencer Alix Earle was announced to be joining the cast. “I’ve always been a fan of Dancing With the Stars … I’m ready to challenge myself,” she said on Good Morning America. “I think it’s gonna be a lot of fun.”
The following month, two cast members from Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives — Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt — were revealed as the latest additions to the DWTS roster.
The names of this year’s pros have not officially been revealed. Along with Jenna, season 33 featured Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Britt Stewart, Daniella Karagach, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, Gleb Savchenko, Pasha Pashkov, Rylee Arnold, Sasha Farber, Val Chmerkovskiy and Witney Carson.
Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro will be back for their third season as cohosts. Judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli are also expected to return.
