Everything We Know About Dolores Catania’s Roles on RHORI and RHONJ

Dolores Catania was spotted filming with the Real Housewives of Rhode Island cast

Last May, Bravo revealed that a new city for the Real Housewives franchise was on its way, courtesy of Rhode Island. Ever since, rumors about who might be on this cast have been circulating. Part of these claims speak of Dolores. Luckily for us, Dolores has already addressed this rumor head-on, confirming that we are likely to see her face at least once on RHORI.

“Well, I’m not gonna be a star, and I will visit maybe,” Dolores stated. Shortly after, fans spotted our resident New Jersey mother filming with the rumored new cast of this series. Then, they shared a clip of their sighting on social media. In this clip, we see Dolores leaning over a balcony at what appears to be a party, talking with an unidentified woman.

Dolores has also teased that she has friendships with certain women on the new RHORI cast, and these women “are wild.” However, their wildness does not surpass anything we have seen from the women of the Garden State, she cheekily stressed, making us wonder how this claim might be valid. But as Dolores emphasized, “You’ve gotta go far to beat Jersey.”

Dolores provided a July 2025 update on RHORI cast rumors

While we know that Dolores will pop in at least once on RHORI, the full-time stars of this new series have yet to materialize in the public eye. Some speculations have arisen, of course. But the actual cast list remains a mystery for now.

Nevertheless, RHORI is happening. Filming is already underway, with Dolores somewhat attached. Now, in a recent interview with US Weekly, our RHONJ anti-fighter finally spilled some more tea on what we can expect out of this new city.

Dolores first noted that she had visited Rhode Island long ago with her now ex-husband and still-current friend, Frank Catania, to help move his sister into college. “It was my first time experiencing anything [outside] of New Jersey. It was insane,” Dolo admitted.

But this trip made a strong impression on Dolores. She was in “awe” of the coastal charm of Rhode Island. Later, she also learned that the state has a “strong Italian community,” just like New Jersey. “They paint the streets with the Italian flag” in Rhode Island, she said.

As for who and what we can expect to see from this city, Dolores teased that the “preppy” and “blonde” stereotypes of this area are accurate. But also, Rhode Island has “an Italian presence there that you will very much love.”

Will Dolores return to RHONJ next season?

The fate of RHONJ remains unknown. For years, similar arguments have arisen between the main stars. But in recent years, these squabbles have heavily divided this cast. Things were starting to go downhill, to the point where the last time we saw these ladies, they were filming their reunion from two separate rooms, with only Dolores allowed to travel freely between these spaces.

A cast shake-up is now in order. But who will stay, and who will go? On the website that lists the stars headed to BravoCon 2025, Dolores is present and accounted for, representing the cast of RHONJ. Does this mean that Dolores is now safe from any firings on this series?

We do not know. Yet, Dolores does present now as someone that Bravo is refusing to walk away from. Likewise, two other members of her cast are also present on this website. These stars are none other than Melissa Gorga and Margaret Josephs.

Dolores has been stealing the show on RHONJ since Season 7, which aired in 2016. Following the aforementioned disastrous Season 14, RHONJ went on an extended pause. Sadly, this cast now has no idea what their futures might be on Bravo. But, as Dolores recently expressed, “We better know something” by the time BravoCon ends.
