Back on Nov. 23, the Philadelphia Flyers re-assigned forward Anthony Richard to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

This was undoubtedly a tough decision for the Flyers, as Richard played magnificently during his call-up. He had two goals, six points, and a plus-4 rating in seven games with the Flyers. However, the Flyers needed to free up a spot on their active roster for Cam York to return, so Richard became the odd man out.

Since being sent back to the AHL, Richard has not slowed down in the slightest. He has two goals and four points in four games since his demotion. With this, he has six goals and 13 points in 11 games this season with the AHL squad.

It is nice to see that Richard is continuing to make a significant impact with the Phantoms. If he keeps this play up, it will undoubtedly help his chances of getting another chance with the Flyers this season.
