This Sabres prospect is continuing to find success at the AHL level.
Last week, the Buffalo Sabres re-assigned forward Isak Rosen to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Rochester Americans. This was after Rosen appeared in one game during his latest call-up to the Sabres, where he had 6:29 of ice time.
While Rosen's time on the Sabres' roster was short, there is no question the 2021 first-round pick's future is bright. He has had an excellent start to the season with the Amerks, posting seven goals and 17 points in his first 17 games.
It is also very encouraging that Rosen has not slowed down since being re-assigned to Rochester. The skilled prospect currently has three goals and an assist over his last two games. This was undoubtedly a great way for him to respond after being taken off the NHL roster.
If Rosen continues to play this well in the AHL, it will only help his chances of getting another recall during this season. There is no question that he possesses good upside, and it will be fascinating to see how he builds on his great play with Rochester from here.
