Celebrating dad!

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham Luyendyk got engaged on Season 22 of “The Bachelor.”

Since then, the two have gotten married and have welcomed three children: Alessi and twins Senna and Lux.

And earlier this year the couple announced last month that they are currently expecting baby number four!

Now, Arie stopped by for an exclusive interview with BachelorNation.com about Father’s Day and what it means to him to be a dad.

We are so excited for Arie to become a dad to four this year and we’re wishing him and all the other dads out there the happiest Father’s Day.

Check out our full interview with Arie below.

Bachelor Nation: Hi Arie! First of all, congrats on baby number four and happy Father’s Day. What does being a dad mean to you?

Arie Luyendyk Jr.: Thank you so much! Being a dad is the most fun! I love seeing the world through their eyes and experiencing the “firsts” with them. All of ours are little still, so I try and soak it all in. Every day is an adventure.

BN: Aw, yes, they are such special ages! What is your ideal way to spend Father’s Day with your family?

AL: Hangin’ with the kids, good food, and maybe the beach🤞🏼

BN: Sounds like a dream! How has fatherhood changed you over the years?

AL: I’ve just realized all the other things in life pale in comparison to being a dad. I feel it’s truly my purpose.

BN: Your kids are so lucky to have you. What has surprised you most about being a dad?

AL: Previously (before being a dad) I would stress about the little things a lot more. Those same things I stressed about didn’t really matter as much because my perspective changed quite a bit.

BN: That makes a lot of sense. Do you have any advice for fellow parents?

AL: They will be hard moments for sure, but don’t let that take away from all the amazing things happening too. When they say they grow up fast, I believe it. Alessi is 6 and it’s gone by so quickly.

Instagram

BN: We can’t believe she’s already 6! Time has really flown, you’re right. As a dad, what do you hope your kids learn from you?

AL: Kindness and compassion. And maybe how to race one day lol!

BN: Would love to see the Luyendyk kids out racing! Do you have a proudest moment as a dad?

AL: Just seeing their hearts and knowing a little bit of that has to be from how we parent them. We just want them to be good people and I feel so far we are winning on that front.

BN: You absolutely are. Is there anything you’re looking forward to doing with your kids?

AL: I try not to look too far ahead, loving the moments we are experiencing right now!

BN: Love it! Thank you so much, Arie. We hope you have a very happy Father’s Day!
