EntertainmentNow got an exclusive quote from iconic ’90s star Joey Lawrence, 48, about the importance he places on giving back to his fans.
Lawrence was one of “DWTS“‘ earliest celebrity contestants, appearing on the show’s third season which aired in 2006. He is fondly remembered by ’90s kids for playing Joey Russo on Mayim Bialik’s NBC sitcom “Blossom” that aired from 1991 to 1995.

The “Brotherly Love” star appeared March 28, 2025 on a panel at 90s Con in Hartford, CT. The former teen heartthrob, who was joined his brothers Matthew and Andrew (“Andy”) for the convention appearance, explained why he chose to keep the panel going until every fan had gotten a chance to ask a questions after time was called during his Q&A session.
“It’s the least we can do,” said Lawrence, with his brother Andy standing at his side. “Yeah, absolutely,” the “Blossom” star went on. “Everybody treks out here, you know, and makes a big financial commitment sometimes to come here. It’s like the least you could do,” he finished.
“For sure,” agreed Andy.
Lawrence finished by saying, “Yeah. You don’t just turn it off, you know?” He revealed he felt it would be “kinda weird” to “clock out” and say “see ya.”
“We’re here for that support, and those people,” Andy added.
