Falcons Remain Confident in Bralen Trice’s Future Despite Rookie ACL Injury

Falcons vẫn tự tin vào tương lai của Bralen Trice mặc dù tân binh bị chấn thương dây chằng chéo trước

Bralen Trice had a strong college career at Washington, becoming one of the top edge rushers in the country.

After redshirting in 2019 and sitting out 2020, he broke out in 2022 with 9 sacks and earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors. In 2023, he was a team captain, recorded 7 sacks, and helped lead Washington to the national championship game. The Atlanta Falcons drafted him in the third round in 2024, but his rookie season ended early after he tore his ACL in his first preseason game against the Miami Dolphins.

Raheem Morris Speaks on Trice

At the NFL league meetings on Apr. 1 in Palm Beach, Florida, Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said Bralen Trice’s injury affected some of the team’s other decisions.

“That was one of the moments that really made us make different decisions and go different routes,” Morris said. He added that the team is still confident in Trice’s future once he’s healthy again. “We’re really confident in what Trice was doing last offseason,” Morris said.

“We talked about how he looked in the preseason, in training camp, and even during OTAs. We were really excited to see him play in the regular season. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to see that.”

Despite the setback, the Falcons believe Trice has a bright future ahead. His injury may have delayed his debut, but the team hasn’t lost faith in his potential. Coaches and teammates have praised his attitude, work ethic, and the effort he showed during the offseason and training camp. With continued support from the organization and his determination to recover, the Falcons are confident Trice will bounce back and grow into a key part of their defense for years to come.
