Falcons star Bijan Robinson sets the record straight about something people have had wrong about him his entire NFL career

Most people know how awful a feeling it was in school when a substitute teacher would be in for the day and, while taking roll, completely butchered how to pronounce your name. Now imagine that happening, but on a much larger scale; that's what Atlanta Falcons star RB Bijan Robinson has been dealing with his entire NFL career.

Robinson joined NFL Network with a crew live for their training camp, and he dropped quite the bombshell by sharing that the whole world has been mispronouncing his name.

We have all been saying Bijan Robinson's name wrong, as he shares the correct way to pronounce it

Over the past two years, we've heard Robinson's name mentioned frequently as he has hit the ground running in the NFL. For every big play he made on the field, though, the name pronounced by announcers was "bee-zhon." Now, thanks to Robinson himself, we know the correct way to pronounce his first name is "ba-zhan."

Robinson has rushed for 2,432 yards and 18 touchdowns, as well as adding 918 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns through the first two years of his career. Last year felt like his breakout season, with him rushing for 1,456 yards and 14 touchdowns, and 431 receiving yards and catching one touchdown.

Up to this point, everyone had been pronouncing the name as they believed was correct, so I don't think anyone should necessarily feel bad. However, now that Robinson has taken the time to correct the mistake, I hope we see NFL analysts and live game commentators take note and use the correct pronunciation of ba-zhan going forward. Just like every kid wants their name pronounced correctly in school, Robinson wants to hear his actual name acknowledged for all the accomplishments on and off the field that he has coming up during what looks like a very bright future.
