Filip Chytil was a big question mark prior to the start of training camp, but it’s safe to say he silenced all of the doubters in the New York Rangers’ 3-2 preseason win over the Boston Bruins.

Over his seven seasons with the Rangers, Chytil has shown flashes of his potential, but he’s been severely hindered by injuries.

Chytil suffered a concussion last November which kept him sidelined for the entirety of the regular season and majority of the playoffs since it was at least his fourth concussion.

The key thing for the 25-year-old forward is staying on the ice and not being limited when he’s out there and now that Chytil is 100 percent healthy, opponents better watch out.

On Sunday night, Chytil made a big statement as he led the Rangers past the Bruins and was by far the best player on the ice.

Chytil finished the night with one goal and one assist, but it wasn’t just his stats that stood out about his performance.

Throughout the night, Chytil was flying all over the ice. His speed was very noticeable and he showed that he can take over a game purely based on his talent alone.

With the puck on his stick, he was smooth and calm. Chytil was able to push the puck into the offensive zone and create plays for his teammates, very clearly shown on his game-winning assist to Alex Belzile.

Chytil scored on the power play, displaying his impressive shot and proved that he can be a threat on the man advantage going forward.

If Chytil continues to play at this level, he will solidify the Rangers’ bottom six and help make New York arguably the most balanced offense in the NHL.
