Now, we’re certainly more than ready to see Bode and the Station 423 and Third Rock members back in action. Fire Country isn’t ready for us, though, with the show remaining on a break tonight, Friday, March 28.
There isn’t even a rerun on tonight. Like last week, this break is due to sports. The NCAA championship continues tonight, and CBS will air a couple of the games. Because the network needs to do the right thing for business and get the eyeballs on the screen, we will have to turn to Paramount+ to watch the show.
In some good news, it means there aren’t any more breaks coming. At least, there shouldn’t be with the finale date for the season now set.
When will Fire Country return with new episodes?
CBS has set the return date for the series. Fire Country is back on Friday, April 4, and we even have some details of what to expect. Sheriff Mickey Fox is back, and she needs Bode’s help with a situation. There is an attempted murder on her estranged father, and Mickey needs to know who did it.
It does sound like her dad could have a few enemies, which will make it a little harder for Mickey to figure it out. However, with the help of Bode, who knows some of the inmates, she may be able to find out who ordered the hit to be able to protect her father. Just because they’re estranged doesn’t mean that she wants her dad dead, after all!
This is sure to work as a great backdoor pilot for Sheriff Country. Mickey has already been introduced, so it’s not a true backdoor pilot, but it puts the character back on our radar. Sheriff Country has already been ordered to series for next season, and we’re excited to see if it will follow Fire Country on Fridays, since the fourth season of that series has also been ordered.
