Fіrst Look: New Goаlіe Mаsk Desіgn for Flyers’ Ivаn Fedotov

With a full offseason to relax and acclimate to North America, Fedotov appears to have taken some time to get his equipment in order and allow himself to be more comfortable heading into the 2024-25 season. The Flyers rookie’s new design features a large orange and white bird that closely resembles the two-headed golden eagle that appears on the Russian coat of arms.

Below the eagle is the name of his new city, Philadelphia, flanked by a series of Flyers logos and what appears to be Philadelphia City Hall.

On the chin is Fedotov’s Flyers number, the unusual No. 82, in orange, outlined in black with a flashy white background.

Fedotov and Michkov were reportedly sticking close together at the Upper Deck Rookie Showcase, which tracks after the two recently visited Colorado together for a short vacation before the business on the ice begins.

Fedotov and Michkov are both still learning English, so Winnipeg Jets forward Nikita Chibrikov effectively served as the translator for Michkov during his media availability.

Get excited! Flyers training camp is only one week away, and soon Fedotov will have the chance to show his real abilities after going winless in a strange and very difficult three-game stretch at the end of last season.
