Over the last 25 years, there have been some special players that have played in the NFL. The Philadelphia Eagles are lucky to have four of them that made ESPN's All-Quarter Century Team.
ESPN's Aaron Schatz and Seth Walder put the list together as they built a 53-man roster of the best players to play from 2000 through 2025. Philadelphia had four representatives from the team who made the final roster.
- WR Julio Jones
- WR Terrell Owens
- C Jason Kelce
- RT Lane Johnson
- S Brian Dawkins
How the five Eagles stack up in franchise history
Jones feels a bit like cheating since he only played on the team in 2023, but it still counts. It happened to be his final year in the NFL, as he caught 11 passes for 74 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games.
Owens had a short but eventful time in Philly, as he was beloved in 2004 for helping the Eagles reach the Super Bowl and played through a broken leg injury in the game. He caught 77 passes for 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2004, earning a Pro Bowl selection and being named a first-team All-Pro. He decided to do sit-ups from his driveway in 2005, and that quickly ended his time with the Eagles.
The legend who saved the Tush Push in May has done so much more than that for the city of Philadelphia. Kelce played 13 seasons in the NFL, as he was selected to seven Pro Bowls and six All-Pro teams. Most importantly, he brought home the franchise's first Super Bowl. Kelce should be a lock for the Hall of Fame when he becomes eligible in a few years.
Johnson is the only current Eagle on the list to make it as he is entering his 13th season in the NFL. He has made six Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams and even caught a touchdown pass. Once Johnson retires, he should be another easy first ballot Hall of Famer.
Dawkins was everything Eagles fans want out of their defenders and more. He played in Philadelphia from 1997 through 2008 before ending his career with the Denver Broncos. His resume included nine Pro Bowls, five All-Pro selections, and a trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Wolverine is considered one of the greatest safeties ever to play the game.
While the wide receivers might not have made as significant an impact on the franchise as the other three, all are worthy of being selected for the team. Kelce, Johnson, and Dawkins are beloved figures who represent the city of Philadelphia well.
