Flyers Agree to Terms With Center Christian Dvorak

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today they have agreed to terms with center Christian Dvorak on a one-year contract worth $5.4M, according to General Manager Daniel Briere.

Dvorak, 29 (2/2/1996), was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in 2014, in the second round, 58th overall, and has gone on to play parts of nine seasons (2016-25) in the NHL with Arizona (2016-17) and Montreal Canadiens (2021-25). The 6-foot-1, 190-pound forward has registered 105 goals, 144 assists, and 249 points in 534 career-games.

Last season, he played in all 82 games and recorded 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points. His 33 points ranked tied for seventh on the Canadiens in points and assists. He also ranked third on the team in face-off wins as he tallied 591.

The native of Palos, IL has represented the U.S. on two occasions. He helped the U.S. to a bronze medal finish as he registered three goals and eight points in seven games played.

Prior to turning professional, Dvorak played for the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for parts of three seasons (2013-16) and captained them to a Memorial Cup Championship in 2016. He registered 99 goals, 145 assists, and 244 points in 158 regular season games in the OHL and added another 19 goals and 48 points in the playoffs.

• He added two goals in five Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Canadiens.
• Dvorak also spent five seasons in Arizona where he played under Rick Tocchet as head coach... He posted 146 points (67g-79a) in 302 regular season games as a Coyote.
• Overall, he has appeared in over 500 NHL games with nearly 250 points in that span (534gp, 105g-144a=249pts).
