Flyers Need Imрortаnt Goаlіe To Turn Tһіngs Around

This Philadelphia Flyers goalie needs this goalie to turn things around.

Ivan Fedotov

The Philadelphia Flyers suffered a tough loss last night (Oct. 17), falling to the Seattle Kraken by a 6-4 final score. With this, they now sport a 1-2-1 record and will aim to get things back on track against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday (Oct. 19).

Flyers goalie Ivan Fedotov had another tough game in this one, as he allowed five goals on 24 shots before being pulled. This was after he allowed five goals on 31 shots against the Calgary Flames in his first season start.

With back-to-back rough starts, Fedotov now currently sports a 0-2-0 record, a .818 save percentage (SV%), and a 6.09 goals-against average (GAA) for the season. This was after he had a 0-1-1 record, a 4.95 GAA, and .811 SV% in his first three career NHL appearances last season.

With all of this, Fedotov desperately needs to turn things around with the Flyers. The hope is that he will become a dependable goalie for Philadelphia, especially when noting his success in the KHL. However, at this juncture, he has struggled mightily in the NHL.

It will be interesting to see how Fedotov responds to another tough start. If these struggles continue, it seems possible that the Flyers could recall another goalie to replace Fedotov.
