The Philadelphia Flyers have announced that star rookie Matvei Michkov will be scratched against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

While speaking to reporters, including Charlie O'Connor, Flyers head coach John Tortorella had this to say on the matter: "Just a part of the process. We're trying to help him."

Michkov, 19, has been off to a strong start this season with the Flyers, posting four goals and 10 points in 13 games. He also recorded an assist in his last game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

With Michkov coming out of the lineup, recent call-up Anthony Richard will make his Flyers debut.
