Every Summer, some of the NHL players who live in Montreal during the offseason take part in the Living Sisu Hockey League. The first games are Tuesday and the line-ups are now out!
I wrote about the LSHL a few days ago but there are now more details about the league's activity this Summer so here's what you need to know.
The Lineups
After the draft, the lineups of the four teams are now known.
Team MTL Balance Board
Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Joe Veleno, Samuel Bolduc, Julien Gauthier, Raphael Lavoie, Thomas Bordeleau, Samuel Poulin, Vincent Desharnais.
Team Poulet Rouge
Anthony Beauvillier, Nikolas Brouillard, Joshua Roy, Maxime Comptois, David Perron, Jonathan Aspirot, Elliot Desnoyers, Louis Domingue.
Team Livebarn
Laurent Dauphin, Alexandre Carrier, Samuel Blais, Nicolas Deslauriers, Jeff Viel, William Carrier, William Trudeau, Jonathan Drouin, Quentin Miller.
Team Accent
Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Benoit-Olivier Groulx, Simon Benoit, Xavier Bourgault, Mathias Laferriere, Gio Fiore, Jonathan Huberdeau, Anthony Morrone, Devon Levi.
Players will be added as they come back to Montreal throughout the Summer. Last season, Juraj Slafkovsky and Josh Anderson were late additions. As for Nick Suzuki, he was a regular last year, but he may be very busy now that he's a fiancé (just like Anderson who got married in Europe this Summer and Brendan Gallagher who tied the knot yesterday in town).
The Schedule, Ticket Prices and Address
Men's games are scheduled every Tuesday if you can't make that day, don't forget there are also women's games on Monday nights. There are two games per night, the first one starts at 5:15 PM and the second one at 6:30 PM. Unlike other years, the tickets are now sold on the Living Sisu App.
The price has gone up compared to other years and the tickets are now 19.90$ each. They give you access to the two games scheduled on the night. All proceeds will be donated to Pancreatic Cancer Canada.
Games take place at Hockey Etcetera, 5920 Chem. de la Cote de Liesse, Mont-Royal Qc, H4T 1C9.
There you have it, the regular season lasts five weeks and the playoffs last two weeks. Chances are, there will be more Canadiens players nearer to the end of the season. For now though, you can see Harvey-Pinard, Joshua Roy and prospect Quentin Miller who was drafted by the Canadiens at the 2023 Draft in the fourth round as 128th-overall pick. Former Hab Jonathan Drouin will also be there, and the biggest name, at least for now has got to be Jonathan Huberdeau.
