The NFL free agency period rolls on to the next wave of signings as teams continue to fill out their rosters with depth players that have potential.
According to KPRC Houston’s Aaron Wilson, the Atlanta Falcons are signing defensive back Keith Taylor to a contract after spending last season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Taylor is the latest defensive back to part ways with the Chiefs during free agency.
Taylor played in 11 games last season, finishing with five tackles. He took some defensive snaps and most special team snaps. The 26-year-old floated between the inactive list and practice squad during the year, serving as depth in the secondary.
The Carolina Panthers selected Taylor from the University of Washington in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, 166th overall. He appeared in all 34 games and made five starts during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. He spent 2023 on the Chiefs practice squad, elevated once without playing in a game.
