Former Ohio State star Marvin Harrison Jr. has Cardinals QB Kyler Murray making a not so surprising admission

Former Ohio State Buckeyes Marvin Harrison Jr. found the end zone for the sixth time this season in the Arizona Cardinals’ Week 11 win over the New York Jets. Harrison now leads all rookie wideouts in touchdown receptions.

Harrison and the Cardinals ran past the Jets by a score of 31-6 and have themselves in place to compete for the playoffs. The rookie wide receiver out of Columbus is a major part in that.

Cardinals' Kyler Murray explains Marvin Harrison Jr's lackluster NFL debut

After the Week 11 game, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray made an admission on how Harrison can get him to smile on the field.

“Anytime I get an opportunity one-on-one with Marv, I’m smiling in my head,” Murray told reporters. “Just, hopefully, I can put the ball where I want to put it. He wins and makes a catch and that’s what happened.”

Harrison has 30 catches for 499 yards this season. The rookie wideout will need to pick up the pace a bit over the last seven games if he wants to hit 1,000 yards receiving. Still, it has been a strong season for Harrison and he has had a big impact for the Cardinals in the red zone.

It is no surprise that Harrison is finding success in the NFL. It is hard to go wrong when selecting an Ohio State wide receiver in the first round. Harrison was as safe of a pick as there was in the draft for the Cardinals at No. 4 overall.

In each of his last two seasons at Ohio State, Harrison cleared 1,200 yards receiving. He is the latest Buckeye wide receiver to go from Ohio State to the league and find success right away. Harrison is already a matchup problem and his quarterback knows to give him a chance in man-to-man matchups.

Harrison and the Cardinals are 6-4 on the season and are now on a bye week and will not play again until Nov. 24 vs. the Seattle Seahawks.
