Former Penguins Stanley Cup Winning Defenseman Traded

   

If hockey fans went to sleep early on Tuesday night, they might have missed a late-night trade between the Detroit Red Wings and Utah Hockey Club.

Former Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Olli Määttä, who won the Stanley Cup with the club in 2016 and 2017, was dealt from the Red Wings to Utah for a third-round draft pick in 2025.
