Former “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Luann de Lesseps is set to appear in season 18 of Canada’s longest running 1-hour drama series, “Murdoch Mysteries”. The official “Murdoch Mysteries” account shared the news in an Instagram post from December 23.
“Holy Real Housewives! ✨ [Countess Luann de Lesseps] just shot a very special cameo with us for Season 18. We can’t wait for you to see it. Stay tuned for more! #cbc #bravotv #realhousewives #RHONY,” the show’s caption read, accompanying a photo of de Lesseps and series star Yannick Bisson, who plays the title character Detective William Murdoch.
De Lesseps was in costume in the photo, sporting a black and white fur coat and matching black hat with her hair pinned in an elaborate up-do. The post also featured a video of her walking to the craft services area backstage, all smiles as she interacted with the different on-set teams.
Fans React to Luann de Lesseps’ New Acting Role
While not confirmed by the network, DeuxMoi shared the “Murdoch Mysteries” video in its own December 23 post, writing that de Lesseps is slated to play “Noelle Victoria (the Mayor’s wife)” in her appearance. Her characters name might be a nod to her two children, daughter Victoria and son Noel.
Fans were thrilled to see de Lesseps branching out into acting roles, and took to the “Murdoch Mysteries” account’s post to share their excitement over the casting news.
“The countess looking absolutely gorgeous!! So excited for this cameo!” one user wrote.

Countess Luann is Taking Her Show on the Road
While she waits for her new Peacock series, “Love Hotel”, to premeire, de Lesseps is continuing to tour with her latest cabaret show, “Marry F Kill”. In a December 22 post, de Lesseps shared that she would be travelling across the pond and performing all around the United Kingdom and Ireland in February 2025, before returning to the United States for more Spring shows.
