Four starters out of practice on Thursday

The starters not working at all in the Arizona Cardinals’ first actual practice of the week includes linebacker Dennis Gardeck, who has been declared out for the season because of a torn ACL, but has yet to be placed on injured reserve.

The other three are tackle Kelvin Beachum, cornerback Sean Muphy-Bunting and nose tackle Roy Lopez.

The full details of their second injury report of Week 8 are below.

Did not participate

  • T Kelvin Beachum (hamstring)
  • LB Dennis Gardeck (knee)
  • NT Roy Lopez (ankle)
  • CB Sean Murphy-Bunting (neck)
  • DL Darius Robinson (not injury related/personal; calf)

Beachum was estimated as limited Wednesday, but then did not practice Thursday, which is what has been the norm in the last few weeks in his first practice of the week. Lopez could be dealing with more issues than known with his injured ankle. Robinson has one limited practice since returning to the field two weeks ago. The designation of personal is likely because his mom passed away recently and the funeral was Wednesday.

Limited participation

  • CB Max Melton (neck)
  • LB Owen Pappoe (hip)

With Murphy-Bunting not practicing, Melton’s availability is crucial considering the expected return of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa throwing to wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, although both were limited Thursday.

Full participation

  • G Isaiah Adams (thumb)
  • T Christian Jones (not injury related/personal)

Jones returned to practice after missing Wednesday’s walkthrough for personal reasons.
