Has the OG left the building? Teresa Giudice is the face of Real Housewives of New Jersey. Love her or hate her, it’s a fact. But she could have been “asked to leave” the show, if Frank Catania is to be believed.
After an abysmal Season 14 of the fan-favorite franchise, Tre might not be coming back. To some viewers, it seems unfathomable. To others, they are ready to move on from the years-long feud between Tre and her family/castmates Joe and Melissa Gorga.
While it’s hard to imagine Teresa would leave on her own, it is even harder to imagine Bravo would let go of one of the biggest reality stars out there. But according to Frank, that’s the word on the streets.
Frank Catania on Teresa Giudice and the RHONJ toxicity: “It’s a shame”
On a recent episode of the Lisa Alastuey Podcast, Frank revealed that Teresa’s likely not returning to the show. “I’ve heard the same [rumors] about Teresa being asked to leave, as opposed to being fired,” he stated.
“But it’s a shame because, you know, I see Teresa landing someplace,” Frank noted. “Because Teresa, across all the franchises, is probably the most recognizable Housewife in the world.”
Whispers that Tre was leaving RHONJ have been around for years. They never came to fruition and she has always been quick to deny it. But now the decision might be out of the best-selling author’s hands.
“I suspect that they are going to be dropping off some people and bringing additional new people in as well as keeping some people on,” Frank guessed. “You can’t continue the way we’re doing it now because right now it is basically two separate shows.”
“You got a reality show where half the cast can’t — won’t film together with the other half of the cast. How are you supposed to have a reality show?” the former lawyer turned gym owner added.
Frank isn’t wrong. During the RHONJ Season 13 reunion, Teresa, Melissa, and Joe agreed to what amounted to icing each other out. Which played out this season, where the family barely interacted at all.
Still, Frank points to a different reason that Tre might be toast. “She’s changed. In my opinion, she has changed since [her husband] Luis [Ruelas] has been around,” Frank concluded. “She’s just not herself. Not the Teresa I grew up with.”
