“RHONJ” star Melissa Gorga experienced a frightening weather event on Friday when her Jersey Shore house was pummeled by a tornado. Gorga posted a clip on Instagram of the storm tearing through her backyard.
“A tornado just blasted through my Shore House😭🥺 literally came through for one minute,” she captioned it. “Wrecked the joint and left.”
Gorga’s friends and fans flooded the comments of her post, sharing their concern. “RHONJ” cast members showed their support as well. Dolores Catania wrote, “Hope [everyone] is ok” and Margaret Josephs commented, “Omg that is so scary!! Thank god you are ok!! 🙏❤️❤️”
“Shahs of Sunset” star Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi commented on Gorga’s post with the prayer hands emoji, and “Jersey Shore” alum Snooki commiserated, saying she also experienced the unexpected weather event. “Same my backyard is destroyed wtf was that,” she wrote.
Melissa Gorga Is Otherwise Enjoying the Summer
Tornadoes aside, Gorga has been having a great summer, according to her social media posts. She recently shared pics of her and her husband Joe Gorga lounging in oversized lawn chairs at a cute Hamptons spot. She captioned the post, “Sometimes you just need to get away and date for the whole weekend ♥️.”
And on Thursday, Gorga posted a sweet pic of the whole family out to dinner, captioning it “My fav summer nights♥️ Casual dinner with the fam.” The photo featured Gorga with her husband and three children, Antonia, 19, Gino, 17, and Joey, 14.
More Time to Spend With Her Family
On July 10 Gorga made the announcement that she would be ending her podcast “On Display” after a four-year run. She once again took to Instagram to share the news via a video, in which she thanked her listeners for all their support.
“I want to assure you that this decision wasn’t easy. I will cherish the memories we’ve created together, and I am so proud of the community we’ve built,” she shared with fans.
Gorga explained that she was ready to move on and shift her focus onto her other business ventures, such as her new cookie brand Let’s Sprinkle by MG and the two locations of her clothing store envy by Melissa Gorga.
Among her responsibilities, Gorga also mentioned, “3 kids and a Joe!” While Gorga clearly has a lot on her plate, she didn’t rule out the possibility of returning to the airwaves in the future. “I hope to return someday, but until then, keep shining and spreading joy, just like the sprinkle cookies I’ll be baking!” she wrote.
