Roster Updates for Tonight
Mackenzie Blackwood will start in net for the Avalanche. On the other side of the ice, David Rittich gets the nod for the Kings.
Colorado Head Coach Jared Bednar spoke to the media following morning skate on Thursday to give roster updates ahead of the game:
Both Joel Kiviranta and Nathan MacKinnon were missing from morning skate on Thursday. Bednar confirmed that it was just maintenance for MacKinnon, but said that Kiviranta would miss the game due to a lower-body injury and classified him as day-to-day.
He was asked about defenseman Erik Johnson as well and said that he is still considered day-to-day. He will not play tonight.
On the other bench, Kings prospect Jeff Malott will make his team debut.
