EXCLUSIVE: Gardeners' World Adam Frost joins the likes of Monty Don and Clare Balding, who have also ruled out appearing on Strictly Come Dancing

-
Gardeners' World presenter Adam Frost says his wife Sulina won't allow him to take part on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, due to the infamous curse.
The curse is a term used to describe relationship break-ups that can occur amongst contestants or professionals, during or shortly after they've competed on the show.
Adam, 55, says while he would be up for having a go on the dance floor and showing fans a "very different" side to him, this may have to stay on his UK tour instead.
"I don't think Mrs Frost would let me go on Strictly because of the curse thing," he laughed, before clarifying that this isn't because she doesn't trust him.
He added: "I think sometimes you get put in a box, [but] yeah I would [do a reality show].
"I go on a live stage [on tour] and if you came and saw me on a stage you'd think, 'Oh right, this is a very different Adam Frost', because I tell lots of naughty stories.
Nobody is cutting you [off], so I'm the little boy that was getting told off at school when I'm on stage for messing around and talking too much."
Adam married Sulina shortly after they crossed paths in the 1990s and together they share four children together; Abi-Jade, Jacob, Amber-Lily, and Oakley.
Gardeners' World star Adam Frost with his wife Sulina The garden designer tends to keep his family life away from the public eye, but last year caught fans' attention with a rare snap of his spouse.
Alongside a selfie with Sulina, he wrote: "This weeks joy, being away with this amazing lady xx."
Many of his 129,000 Instagram followers gushed over the picture, with one fan writing: "Fabulous photo... enjoy your time off together."
A second commented: "Love is everything and eternal," while a third typed: "So lovely to see a happy couple making memories."
Meanwhile, Adam isn't the only Gardeners' World star to turn down the BBC dance competition.
After fans called for Monty Don to join the line-up back in 2021, the 69-year-old admitted he had said no on several occasions.
In response to fans on the platform X at the time, he said: "I have been asked on Strictly three times now - politely refused each time and would continue to do so were there another 33 times! Not my thing."
Presenter Clare Balding has also ruled out appearing on the show, following a warning from her wife Alice Arnold.
Speaking on the Smart TV podcast recently, she said: "When the request came through she said, 'You can say yes to that if you like, but I won't be here when you come back'."
Last week, the BBC announced which professional dancers will be returning to Strictly Come Dancing this year.
Those hoping to lift the Glitterball trophy with a celebrity partner include; Nadiya Bychkova, Katya Jones, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Johannes Radebe.
The celebrities who will be taking part will be announced at a later date.
