Things are finally looking up for General Hospital‘s Lucky and Liz. They’ve been circling each other since his return to town, but it took nearly dying to push them to the next level. Lucky rushed in to Elizabeth’s rescue, was attacked by Cyrus and ended up in a coma. And when he woke up, Liz was right there by his side, waiting to plant a kiss on him. So break out the champagne, because Liz and Lucky are back!

Except nothing in Port Charles is ever easy. Headwriters Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten spoke with Soap Opera Digest about the couple and acknowledged that, “They ought to have smooth sailing… emphasis on ‘ought.’ Just as they’re getting back on track, Liz and Lucky may face another obstacle when another ex’s story threatens to collide with theirs….”

And that’s why we’re already getting nervous about Elizabeth meeting with Drew. The two were together back when everyone thought he was Jason, and right now, his drama is blowing up a whole lot of lives. The Quartermaines can’t stand him and even his former friend Curtis has turned on him!

Heck, just yesterday, while turning to Ava for help with Drew blackmailing her, Portia lamented that just about the only way out of it was if Drew ended up dead. Carly and Nina have both decided that he’s got to be taken down after Willow told them she’s moving in with her homewrecking beau.

There is a whole lot of story and a whole lot of drama boiling over where Drew is concerned, and if he ropes Liz in, that can not be good for her and Lucky! Worse, this mess could end up causing double trouble for Liz and Lucky, since Ava encouraged Portia to seek help from Ric in dealing with Drew — who happens to be another of Elizabeth’s exes!

But ultimately, no matter who’s responsible, brace yourselves for what comes next, because it sounds like things are far from settled when it comes to Liz and Lucky!
