Looks like we are in for an action-packed week on General Hospital. In the preview that ABC dropped on Monday, June 16, a proposal is made, a threat is leveled and a well-deserved slap is delivered.
First, we get Sidwell ominously intoning, “I want to end your influence in this city” — to Sonny, of all people. Countless others have come and gone, both good guys and bad, who have wanted to accomplish the same goal. Will Sidwell be the one to actually get the job done? Maybe he should team up with ADA Turner; we have a hunch their portrayers would have chemistry. (Here’s why.)
Next, someone — Michael perhaps? — shocks Willow by telling her, “This never should have happened.” Perhaps he’s suggesting that they never should have split up in the first place all those years ago. You’ll recall that they only did so because she and Chase pretended to be having an affair so that Michael and Willow would marry in order to secure custody of Wiley (and keep him away from momster Nelle).
Meanwhile, Lulu continues to compete with Drew for the title of Most Hated General Hospital character as she yells as Brook Lynn that of course Gio wants nothing to do with her, because she chose to lie. Right on cue, BLQ does exactly what fans have wanted somebody to for ages and slaps Lulu.
Finally, right as Jason is warning Carly that Drew won’t give up trying to get custody of the kids for Willow, Congressman Cutthroat is throwing a Hail Mary — by suggesting to his tearful girlfriend that they tie the knot. Is that when at last she’ll learn the whole truth about what a scumbag she’s been sleeping with? Can. Not. Wait.
