At the hospital, Lucas stopped Felicia to talk. He wanted to know how his mother, Bobbie Spencer, learned to co-exist with Sonny. Felicia said Bobbie tolerated Sonny, at best. Lucas said he used to “go along to get along” because of Carly, but felt he could no longer look the other way after Sonny kidnapped and hurt Marco.

Felicia agreed Sonny’s actions weren’t okay, but pointed out it was more complicated and nuanced than that. Accepting that he couldn’t expect Carly to cut Sonny out, he said he just may have to let Carly live her life and he live his. He presented more of a one-sided view of his and Carly’s fight, and Felicia supported him, standing up for his relationship with Marco. When he said he didn’t know how to keep Sonny from driving a wedge between him and Carly, Felicia told him to follow his mother’s example and refuse to let him.

She encouraged him to speak up about Sonny when he wanted to, but not to make an ultimatum. She advised not to put Carly in a position to choose between him and Sonny because it was important they not lose each other. He left for the Metro Court pool after their talk.

At Miller & Davis Law Offices, Suzanne was charmed by Sonny as she escorted him in to see Alexis. Getting straight to the point, Alexis asked why he had kidnapped Marco. Before he answered, Suzanne brought him a piece of her famous carrot cake and a double espresso. When Alexis pressed for an answer again, Sonny said he thought she was going to apologize for how she treated him in front of Charlie’s after the fire.

Alexis did not apologize and shared her concerns about how much Kristina acted like him at times. She worried about Kristina’s impulsivity and her subscription to Sonny’s philosophy of the ends justifying the means. Whether it was kidnapping Marco (which he did not admit to) or something else, he stood by doing what he had to do to protect his family.

She said he was taking a big gamble with their daughter’s well-being, but he thought she was being overprotective and should have more faith in Kristina’s strength. She flashed back to her conversation with Kristina about cutting Ric’s brakes, but did not say anything to Sonny about it. After Sonny left, Alexis thought she was done for the day, but Ava arrived for her 5:00 meeting.Weekly General Hospital Recap January 20-24: Goodbye Michael, Hello Heart Trouble

Kristina was waiting for Cody at the Metro Court pool when she ran into Dante. With a head nod, Dante and Gio acknowledged each other’s presence from afar. Kristina and Dante sat by the window to catch up when Marco walked in. She walked over to thank Marco again and was shocked to see the cuts and bruises on his face.

Marco told her the same fake story he gave the police. They talked for a bit about his mother. Kristina said Natalia was a complicated person who tried to make amends for the trouble she caused her and Allison and expressed her gratitude for how his mom helped bother her and her father..

She went on to briefly explain her accident last summer and the questionable choices she made afterward, and let him know Natalia helped her even when she didn’t have to. Eventuall,y she addressed the “hit piece” the Port Charles Press ran about Sonny and his mom and wanted to assure him that Sonny had nothing to do with Natalia’s death. Marco didn’t want to discuss it and said he was still making up his mind about what he thought.

Lucas showed up to the pool at the same time. Sonny told Lucas he was there to pick up Donna from her swim lesson. After seeing Marco and Kristina talking, Lucas asked Sonny if his other daughter had any idea that he had kidnapped Marco and held him for 24 hours. He smugly said that maybe someone should tell her. Sonny told him to do what he needed to do and walked off.

While Kristina was talking to Marco, Dante approached Danny to ask a few questions. He showed him a picture of Greta, the courier, whom Danny immediately recognized as the woman who tipped him $50. Danny continued to give him a detailed account of everything he saw during the time the woman was there, even saying he thought it was odd she was carrying a backpack because she looked too fancy to do that. Dante was impressed with his attention to detail and told him he reminded him of his mother.General Hospital Recap: Franco Returns His Wedding Ring to Liz and Wants to Live As Drew

At the other end of the pool, Emma and Gio were talking when she noticed Dalton walk in. Gio cautioned her to be careful because she was giving off stalker vibes. After he was done talking to Danny, Dante watched from the side as Emma used Outback as a way to naturally approach Dalton. She told Dalton she had all of the literature handled for his lecture the next day. He thanked her but said Josslyn was handling the logistics of the summer lecture series.

Later, Gio cautioned her again about being so obvious with Dalton, whom he feared was going to start to suspect something. She felt Dalton would continue to see her as the overeager student she’d always been with him. When Emma said she was going to use the keys she stole from Vaughn to get into Dalton’s lab while he was at the lecture, Gio offered to search Dalton’s lab instead so she could go and keep up the ruse of being the overeager student.

Britt was getting ready to leave her room at the Five Poppies Resort when the manager, Pascal, came to the door to tell her she was not allowed to leave the resort. He said there had been concerns about her driving and offered to bring her whatever she wanted.

Britt said her car accident was two years ago, and the donkey survived. She also reasoned that the accident happened when she had just gotten there, had just started her medication, and was learning how to drive a manual car. She had a quick flashback of scaring Jason when she drove with him. She said one of the drivers could take her to the restaurant, but Pascal said, in light of her medical condition, “he” thinks she should stay on the property. She thought being forced to stay there was ridiculous, and “he” was just pissed because she took the trip to Paris. He said he would have Negronis and the evening specials sent to her room and left.

Jason came to see Anna at her apartment. He wanted her input about his suspicions about Britt’s death. He told her about the conversation he had with Liesl, finding out Britt had not planned to be cremated, and discovering the mortuary form had not been completed properly. When Anna asked if he thought Britt staged her own death, Jason said, “Not only that, but I think I saw her.”

He explained what happened at the airport in France, saying it wasn’t a lot to go on, but it wasn’t nothing either. Anna was skeptical but well knew Faison, Obrecht, and Britt’s abilities and trusted Jason, so she agreed there was a chance Britt was still alive. When he thanked her for believing there was a possibility he was right, she surprised him by advising him not to go looking for Britt.

Anna felt that if Britt did fake her death, it was a deliberate choice because she didn’t want to let anyone see her health declining. To try to find her would not be honoring her wishes and could even be a betrayal of sorts.

After Jason left, Dante returned to update Anna about his conversation with Danny. They figured out the backpack was handed off at the pool. He then warned her about seeing Emma fixated on Dalton.

After leaving Anna’s, Jason received a call from Pascal, the Five Poppies Resort manager. Pascal was following up on John Moore’s (aka Jason) email inquiry about staying at the resort. As he was on the phone, Britt barged in, yelling for the keys to her car loud enough for Jason to hear her.

In Brennan’s WSB office, he told Josslyn and Vaughn they were being taken off the PCU case because Dalton was no longer the primary target. He said he was sending them to the Five Poppies Resort for surveillance and intelligence gathering. He wanted them to know the place inside and out, but specified that they were not to attempt to steal the data themselves, commit any act of sabotage, or engage any of the targets.

After he told them they would be there for about two weeks and acting as newlyweds, Joss questioned if it was a good idea to leave Dalton’s assistant position. She knew he would give it to Emma, who had no idea how dangerous he really was.

Brennan said he would take care of Emma and Anna and told them the stakes were high. He said, “Come up with your backgrounds, deliver your excuses, and pack your bags” because you leave in 24 hours. He gave them rings and identities. Joss put the rings in her pocket. After Vaughn was dismissed, Brennan told Joss she was going to have to sell the idea that they were totally in love.
