General Hospital recap for Wednesday, May 21, 2025, reveal llama drama, a grandma busted, and a mama explains!
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) opened the Nurses’ Ball to some llama drama, Lois Cerullo’s (Rena Sofer) grandma secret was busted, and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) had some explaining to do!
Lucy, The Llama Drama Mama
The 2025 Nurses Ball was in full swing, starting with Lucy on stage and her llama, Sebastian, backstage, when an odd scream rang out.
But it was only the result of a stagehand getting too close to the llama, who reacted-sounds like Sebastian did more than spit on the stagehand, which they are prone to do.
True to her usual chaotic self during these celebrations, Lucy brought her signature flair; however, once she took the stage to officially launch the event, the gala performances proceeded without a hitch!
Then the performances began in earnest, opening with a beautiful choreographed dance by both doctors and nurses of the hospital. They were all in differently colored scrubs.
On With The Dance!
The audience enjoyed a lively performance of Madonna’s “Holiday” as several hospital nurses, including Amy Driscoll (Lisa Dorkin) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), showcased their dance moves on stage.
Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) also joined in, impressively breakdancing—though it’s possible a stunt double handled some of the moves.
True to his slimy nature of late, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) clapped enthusiastically at Willow’s alluring dance, making the overall performance a memorable success.
Meanwhile, Lucy, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) were accompanied by Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), who filled in for Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and thrilled the audience.
The women danced along as Spinelli performed “These Boots Were Made for Walking” by Nancy Sinatra, Jr.; with a western theme-cowboy boots and clothing.
Gio Dazzled The Crowd With His Violin
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the performance by violinist Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), which brought Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) to tears.
It filled Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) with pride for her talented ‘cousin’; from backstage, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) was visibly moved as she watched him play.
In the meantime, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) observed, firmly believing her instincts about Gio being the son of Brook Lynn and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) were spot on.
So certain was she that she confronted Lois after the show, claiming Gio was her grandson-Lulu also expressed her conviction t Camila Palmieri (uncast) couldn’t have been pregnant during her tour.
Lulu then said Camila should have been if she had given birth to Gio – but Brook Lynn did- and named Dante as father-Lois was left at a loss for words.
Josslyn Confronts Willow In The Ladies’ Room, Drew Tries To Come To Her Rescue
However, that wasn’t the only shocking moment at the gala; a tense confrontation unfolded between Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Willow in the women’s restroom.
Josslyn confronted Willow, insisting that she would never allow Michael Corinthos’s (previously portrayed by Chad Duell) children to be taken from him.
Willow firmly responded that she is their mother and they rightfully belong with her. Just then, Drew barged into the restroom, attempting to ‘rescue’ Willow from Joss.
Josslyn couldn’t resist throwing shade at Drew, implying he was on the lookout for dates or worse in the ladies’ room, nearly labeling him a pervert!
More Bombshells Burst
Then, Drew became the center of attention when Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) revealed to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) that he was aware of the ruthless congressman blackmailing her.
Portia confessed to deceiving Curtis all along and clarified that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) had been holding onto the digital proof of her alterations to Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) medical records.
She explained that Brad had started blackmailing her, which initially seemed manageable until Drew got involved.
She explained she stayed silent because he had enough on his plate and that this was a hospital matter- Curtis was furious with Portia, especially after discovering what Drew was demanding.
Not only had she been dishonest with Curtis, but she was also manipulating him-the future of Portia and Curtis’ marriage appears bleak at this stage.
Sonny Clapped Back At ADA Turner
In some other developments, Sonny Corinthos ( Maurice Benard) had an unpleasant exchange with one of Port Charles’ Assistant District Attorneys, Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor).
He greeted her on her inaugural Nurses Ball, but Justine ominously hinted it might be his final one. With the town’s upcoming referendum vote, she asserted that Sonny would be forced out of Port Charles.
However, Sonny retorted confidently that no one would succeed in expelling him from the area. Sonny has no plans to leave Port Charles, and no one was going to force him, he reiterated Port Charles is his home.
Alexis Explains!
At home, Alexis Davis explained to Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) about Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) blackmail plan.
She revealed that they have video proof of Kristina tampering with Ric’s car brakes and that they are holding his car as backup evidence.
Alexis is also stealing from the Cassadine estate to prevent them from going to the police and sending Kristina to jail.
As Kristina searched for ways to help her mom, Alexis reassured her that the only option was to comply with Ric and Ava’s demands.
She emphasized that as a mother, her priority is to protect her child. Kristina then understood why her mom thought about having her committed and expressed gratitude for having her as a mother.
