General Hospital recaps for Monday, June 30 reveal Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) sets up Jordan Ashford, (Tanisha Harper) and Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) crashes Daisy Gilmore-Corinthos’ (Levi Clark Coughlin) christening. Also, Charlie’s Pub is firebombed by a group of thugs and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) is trapped by the flames!
Portia Sets Up Jordan
In Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) office, he and Portia begin to kiss when Jordan unexpectedly walks in; shocked, she quickly leaves, and Portia smirks. Curtis suspects this was all planned, and he tells Portia that he believes it’s just another example of her manipulative behavior.
Portia confesses that she texted Jordan to come over and questions if he’s genuinely upset about his ex wife witnessing their moment.
He asserts that he doesn’t even recognize her, meaning Portia-she insists that her feelings for him are genuine and that Jordan needed to understand that. Jordan wants him back, and she needed to realize that will never occur.
The Two Continue To Argue About Jordan, And Portia’s Manipulations
Curtis asserts that Jordan has been nothing but beneficial for him; whatever Portia perceives is occurring between them is merely in her imagination.
They clash over her falsehoods, and Portia maintains that Jordan is attempting to take advantage of his weaknesses, and he retorts that this sounds more like something she would do.
She argues that her actions were solely to protect their relationship; “You’re ruining us,” he states. When he calls her “Trina’s mother,” meaning their daughter Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), she reminds him that she is also his wife.
He begins to enumerate all the deceptions she has told him and how she has manipulated him; Portia proclaims that she will continue to fight for their marriage and then leaves.
Anna And Turner Bicker About Sonny
In Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) office, a heated debate unfolds between her and Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) regarding Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his intelligence.
Turner questions whether he has been outsmarting Anna or if her loyalty to him is causing her to overlook his actions-Anna believes they should collaborate rather than compete. She warns Turner that she is close to overstepping her boundaries.
Anna refuses to allow her to manipulate her officers for personal gain. Just then, Jordan enters, and Anna informs Turner that their discussion is over.
Jordan Needs To Talk
After the ADA leaves, Jordan mentions that she just found Curtis and Portia…on his desk; she has a hunch that Portia orchestrated the whole situation. Jordan genuinely wants Curtis to find happiness, but she refuses to be the one to jeopardize his marriage.
That task falls to Portia-she wishes for Curtis to resolve his issues, but Portia is nothing but deceitful. Anna points out that it’s Curtis who needs to handle that situation. Anna encourages her to focus on her own needs while Curtis works through his problems.
Natalia Crashes Daisy’s Christening
Everyone is taken aback when Natalia walks into the chapel-Sonny volunteers to take care of it, and they head outside.
Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) enters with the baby, and Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) inquires if his mom will be present, and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) has to clarify that she won’t be.
Meanwhile, in another part of the chapel, Brook Lynn Chase (Amanda Setton) pulls Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) aside and questions him about why he went silent when she mentioned Sonny and Deception.
He is unable to discuss it; he doesn’t tell her the reason. However, he is the officer that Turner went over Anna’s head to get on the Sonny case.
Natalia Falls Apart, She Thought Sonny And She Were Practically Eloping
Outside, Natalia informs Sonny that he is meant to be on a plane with her, she got mixed messages and thought they were practically eloping.
Unbeknownst to her, she is meant to embark on a new life by herself. He expresses regret if there has been any misunderstanding, but he is providing her with sufficient funds to begin anew-she feels as though she is being abandoned.
Sonny reassures her that he is looking out for her, but his life is elsewhere-she continues breaking down, yet he comforts her by saying she will have everything she requires.
In tears, she responds that this is inadequate-she believed this was their opportunity to build a life together. He replies that this is not possible.
Kristina Interrupts, Sonny Sends Natalia Away
At that moment, Kristina interjects, announcing that the ceremony is about to commence-Sonny instructs Pete (uncredited actor) to ensure that Natalia boards the flight.
Angrily, Natalia hopes that he and his family receive what they deserve- Sonny enters, and the christening begins. The pastor discusses the significance of baptism and requests Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to reject Satan.
He baptizes Daisy Celeste Gilmore-Corinthos (Levi Clark Coughlin), and then the family gathers for a photo and Michael invites everyone to his house for a celebration.
Sonny reassures Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) that everything regarding Natalia is straightened out; Kristina inquires about Natalia’s situation with Jason, who replies that it has been handled.
Brook Lynn Overhears Chase’s Call To Turner, Natalia Overdoses On Pills And Booze
Chase contacts Turner to explain what occurred with Sonny and Natalia-Brook Lynn overhears and questions him about his actions.
He reminds her that she shouldn’t eavesdrop and emphasizes the importance of separating their professional and personal lives-in the meantime, Pete escorts Natalia back to her suite to gather her belongings.
She insists on taking a shower first and asks him to leave before she nearly hyperventilates; after taking some pills, she washes them down with alcohol.
She flashes back to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) castigating her regarding their son and Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) threatening to cut ties with her if she leaves. Pete knocks on the door, urging them to hurry-she attempts to text Marco but ends up stumbling and losing consciousness.
Post-Christening Family Time
At the Quartermaine’s, Felicia and Carly discuss how fortunate they are to be grandmothers once more- Carly just wishes Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) could have been present.
Sasha asks Jason to hold the baby and expresses her gratitude for his support during her pregnancy; she found it easier than she expected. He made her feel cared for, and she believes Daisy will feel the same way, and she adds Daisy is very fortunate to have him in her life.
Kristina inquires about what Natalia was doing at the chapel, and Sonny reassures her not to worry-Michael arrives, and Sonny expresses how proud he is of them. Kristina’s bar manager calls in sick, so she needs to head to Charlie’s to open up after dropping a gift for Daisy.
Marco Cooks For Lucas, And They Discuss Natalia
At Carly’s, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) warns Marco that he had food delivered but doesn’t know how to cook it- Marco replies that they will need to improvise.
Lucas has never cooked, and neither have Carly or his sister; he can use a microwave; Marco confesses that his mom taught him how to cook, and they enjoyed doing it together.
Once Marco finishes the meal, Lucas expresses his gratitude, and they share a kiss- Lucas mentions they have the place to themselves for a few hours and they begin to make out.
Suddenly, Marco’s phone pings, and he notices drunk texts from his mom-it’s all nonsense; Lucas suspects there might be more to it since she’s trying to leave the country.
The doctor attempts to read the message and points out that this could be his last opportunity to contact her, then Marco replies that he’s on his way.
Charlie’s Pub Is Firebombed, And Kristina’s Trapped!
As Kristina is between the Quartermaine mansion and Charlie’s Pub, following the call from her bar manager, several masked thugs break into the bar and douse it thoroughly with gasoline.
They make a point to ensure there is no escape for anyone trapped inside, and also make a point to soak down a photo of Sonny and Kristina behind the bar. Later, Kristina enters from the back, sees that the area is drenched, and gasps as a firebomb is tossed through the window.
The building begins to ignite, with flames spreading rapidly. Back at the PCPD, Turner rushes into Anna’s office and insists they need to issue an APB for Natalia.
