General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the mayoral race in Port Charles, New York is getting spicy, what with handsome but shady Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) running. Is there anything he won’t do to win?
During the Thursday, July 3 episode, fans saw Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) talk with her mom, and the current mayor, Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
Will Ezra Play Dirty?
Lulu expressed her concern about Laura’s link to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and the effect it could have on the race. Loyal Laura protested that she is above board, but that’s not how it might look to the voters.
In contrast, Lulu wanted Laura to speak out against Sonny in order to secure her win over Ezra. Based on this convo, fans are speculating that a huge plot twist is about to come into play.
Laura Vs. Ezra in PC
Laura is popular in PC, but Sonny is a stain on her reputation. Can you imagine Ezra becoming mayor and having all the power that the role brings? This would be hell on wheels for Laura, Sonny, and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).
Right now Ezra has a powerful player in his corner, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). These two sleazeballs are capable of a lot, including trying to demolish Tracy’s family mausoleum.
Can you see Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) getting involved with these two to ensure that Sonny goes down? We can!
Will Ezra be PC’s Next Mayor?
Jenz is the one behind the bombings that afflicted Sonny’s loved ones, and he will stop at nothing to take control of Sonny’s docks. While he has a good start on his agenda, having Ezra and Drew in his pocket would be a boon to his ambitions.
For her part, Laura is content when she sees that polls indicate that she is off to a strong start.
However, explosive General Hospital spoilers hint at a jaw dropping storyline in which bad guys Ezra, Drew, and Sidwell take control of Port Charles, while Laura is left at the curb.
