General Hospital Spoilers July 15: Sonny Gets the Upper Hand With Sidwell

The Sonny / Sidwell war escalates when Sonny (Maurice Benard) gets the upper hand with Sidwell (Carlo Rota). Ever since the crime lord came to town, Sidwell has remained pretty stealthy with his agenda. Slowly but surely, it became clear he wanted to shove Sonny aside and become the number one power player in Port Charles.

And whether he wanted this result or not, the fire he ordered to tear through Charlie’s Pub almost killed Sonny’s daughter, Kristina (Kate Mansi). As a result, Sonny will not let this action go unchecked. So, the question is, how does he get the upper hand on Sidwell? Does it have anything to do with abducting Marco (Adrian Anchondo)? In the weekly GH video preview, Marco is tied up and gagged. Is that Sonny’s doing?

Meanwhile, Lucas (Van Hansis) is frantic. He has been supremely supportive of Marco, and his feelings for the man are growing and growing. Marco’s sudden disappearance will undoubtedly make Lucas worry. He knows Port Charles. He also knows what could happen if someone crosses Sonny. How far will he go to find an MIA Marco?

Dysfunctional Drama

Elsewhere in Port Charles, Drew (Cameron Mathison) is probably proud of himself because he got the upper hand on Curtis (Donnell Turner). And because of that, a hit piece about Sonny regarding his role in Natalia’s (Eva LaRue) death is featured on Aurora Media platforms, which should help tank Sonny’s chances of keeping that waterfront property he’s owned for years and years.

Next up, Drew issues a warning. Who’s on the business end of this warning? While it could be anyone, there’s a good chance that it might be Nina (Cynthia Watros). Drew hasn’t forgotten that she’s the one who hired Jacinda (Paige Herschell), the escort. But from the looks of GH’s “next on” preview, he unleashes a vicious warning to Carly (Laura Wright) about Michael (Rory Gibson). “His refusal to compromise is going to cause him more misery than you can ever imagine,” Drew states emphatically.

And while Nina seeks out Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) gets bad news. Does it have to do anything with her quest to get visitation rights so she can see Wiley and Amelia on a regular basis?
