General Hospital (GH) spoilers imply the proverbial poop is about to hit the fan where Marco Rio (Adrian Anchondo) is concerned. While he and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) share massive chemistry, as Marco is Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) son, and things are seemingly amicable between him and his dad, was his “run-in” with Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) brother by accident or on purpose?
Marco’s Relationship With His Parents
Natalia is no saint, but she has evolved during her time in Port Charles and is learning to “do better and be better”. It’s understandable why Marco has a shaky relationship with his mom. After all, she wasn’t accepting of his sexual orientation and tried to keep it hidden.
Still, it is interesting that Marco is so close to his dad, considering Sidwell is a villain in every sense of the word. But, if he supports his son in his life choices, then Marco would gravitate towards him. Then again, could Sidwell be manipulating his son?
Still, the father and son aren’t only close, as it was implied by Natalia recently that Marco seems to do his dad’s bidding. This is why he went from being in the entertainment business to becoming a lawyer – something pushed by Jenz so Marco could help with the “family business”.
Marco’s PC Moves
It’s interesting that Marco chose to apply to a law firm that represents Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), someone who Sidwell is seemingly targeting.
Even more interesting is that he’s also getting involved with someone (somewhat) in Sonny’s orbit – Lucas (who happens to be Sonny’s ex-wife’s brother).
Was Marco running into Lucas a chance encounter, or was it targeted? Lucas and Sonny aren’t exactly close; however, they do have Carly in common.
After all, Lucas and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) aren’t close either, but the two shared time together recently over their concerns for Ms. Spencer.
Is Marco in Port Charles to be closer to family or to help his dad execute a plan he has for the town’s top mob boss? Will Marco use Lucas to achieve this goal? Only time will tell.
