General Hospital Spoilers: Monica's Secret Sister Shakes Up Fall — Erika Slezak Joins Cast!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the show is prepping an epic plot point that will rock PC to its core.

The ABC soap’s latest spin has us thinking that there will be a major new character onscreen come fall, Monica Quartermaine’s (the late Leslie Charleson) long-lost sister.

Based on clues, we suspect that the new character is tied to a letter that Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) found at Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) house. Let’s unpack what could be a whopper of a story coming down the pike!

Martin Finds a Letter

Martin found the letter during the July 22 episode. He saw kids’ artwork on it and assumed that it belonged to Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko).

The envelope was addressed to Monica, and the letter inside stated that the sender was sorry to hear that Monica was sick and that it had been a while since they’d talked.

At the same time, Daytime Confidential reports that One Life to Live alum Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord) has been cast on GH as Monica’s long-lost sister. The soap vet debuts in autumn.

Who Knew Monica Had a Sister?

Martin finding the letter seems to point to the long-lost sister arriving in Port Charles. Until then we will no doubt get tidbits and clues as to the story between the two sisters.

What will Martin do with the letter? Is there a way for him to use it to gain advantage over his nemesis Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot)? These two have a red-hot rivalry going and we fully expect it to turn into a molten lava romance at some point.

What Else Did Martin Read?

Whatever else he read, the words stunned Martin who has never met a weakness he won’t exploit. Martin needs money, as his recent hospital visit showed.

If Martin thinks there is a way to gain funds via the letter, he will likely milk it for all it’s worth.
Then again, perhaps it’s Monica’s sister who causes the commotion by coming to PC with a shady agenda. If so, this means that Tracy has another foe to rile her up!
