General Hospital Spoilers: Rena Sofer’s Insight On Brook Lynn’s Not-So-Secret Secret!

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Rena Sofer, GH’s Lois Cerullo recently hinted there’s a strong likelihood someone else knows the family secret!

Lois may not have kept the secret about Brook Lynn Chase’s (Amanda Setton) and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) child under wraps entirely!

Lois’ Family Didn’t Want To Reveal The Quartermaine Scandal Secret

Not too long ago, Lois’ family hesitated to share the secret of Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) and Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) affair, fearing she wouldn’t be able to keep it under wraps.

After all, she had previously spilled the beans to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) being the one who reported Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew to the SEC. Yet, who would have guessed that Lois could actually safeguard a secret when it truly mattered?

For years, she has held onto the truth that Brook Lynn had a child during her high school years. Not only is Dante unaware that he is the father, but the existence of their son, Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), remains a mystery to everyone; or does someone else know?

Rena Spoke About The Storyline With Soap Opera Digest

Sofer shared insights about the plot with Soap Opera Digest, reminiscing about Lois’s departure from Port Charles alongside Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). This exit was fueled by the web of lies and betrayal that surrounded the Quartermaine family.

She noted that while Lois prided herself on her honesty, the revelation regarding her grandchild has forced her to confront a harsh truth.

“She’s been riding that high horse for far too long, and now she must face the reality that she’s no longer atop it.” Sofer contended that the deception was meant to shield her daughter and grandchild.

Who Might Lois Have Told?

However, when asked about Lois’s choice to keep the secret under wraps, she playfully hinted, “Did Lois really keep it to herself-we can’t be sure…” Lois and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) have been inseparable friends for as long as anyone can remember.

While it’s entirely plausible that Lois confided in her best friend, there’s one problem-Olivia’s role as Dante’s mother—she would likely have preferred her son to be informed about the impending arrival.

The same goes for Sonny knowing anything about it, because even though he financed Gio’s college, he too would have wanted Dante to know about his son. Of course, there is a distinct possibility that Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta) may be who Rena was hinting about-Lois’ mother!

The Repercussions From The Reveal Will Be The Worst!

Sofer elaborated that in a soap opera, a plot centered around a secret typically involves just a couple of individuals. However, she expressed her admiration for how the show intertwines this narrative with a multitude of characters.

She commended the writers and executive producer Frank Valentini for the innovative approach to the storyline’s development; yet, she cautioned that the eventual revelation will have significant consequences.

Sofer articulated her concerns about the aftermath, stating, “That reveal is going to be the worst!” She emphasized, “Deceiving Ned Quartermaine, Olivia, Brook Lynn, and Dante is one thing, but betraying the trust of the boy that Lois helped raise? That’s an entirely different matter.”
