General Hospital’s ‘Donna’ Transforms for New Role: ‘If You’re in This Industry, You Have to Make Big Sacrifices’
If you have young children or grandchildren you’ve likely heard of the Nickelodeon character Dora. The series, which surrounds the adventures of Dora and her best friend Boots the monkey, ran on the network from 2000 to 2014 with the final six episodes released in 2019. Since then, it’s been a popular show with new episodes airing on Paramount+. But that’s not all… Its latest spin-off feature, Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado, includes a familiar General Hospital face.
Scarlett Spears, who plays Port Charles’ Donna, appears as a young Dora in the movie that was released on the streaming service earlier this month. The story follows Dora, her cousin Diego and their new friends as they brave the Amazonian jungle while trying to locate the Sol Dorado treasure before it lands in the wrong hands.
The actress’ mom shared stills from the movie on their official Instagram with her daughter as Dora doing what Dora does best, looking at a map. “Incredible to say, we were a part of this,” she stated as Spears’ former castmate Jophielle Love (ex-Violet) cheered, “So awesome! Congrats!”
And in another post, her mom shared what the little actress had to go through in order to get into character. “Becoming young Dora. The big chop,” she stated. “If you’re in this industry, you have to make big sacrifices!”
Sacrifices or not, she’s one of the cutest kids in daytime and if you haven’t seen the movie, grab the kiddos, make some popcorn and check it out today.
