Karen Huger's life after RHOP Season 9

Karen navigated the fallout from charges related to driving under the influence during Season 9, and she was found guilty in December 2024.

In the closing moments of the finale (Season 9, Episode 17, which aired on February 2), text displaying an update on Karen flashed on the screen: "After Karen’s verdict was reached, police bodycam footage from the night of the arrest was released to the public."

Karen also did not attend the RHOP Season 9 reunion taping alongside castmates Gizelle Bryant, Keiarna Stewart, Wendy Osefo, Stacey Rusch, Mia Thornton, Ashley Darby; friends Jassi Rideaux, and Jacqueline Blake; and host Andy Cohen in early January 2025.

The Potomac resident's manager, Ryan Tresdale, released an exclusive statement to The Daily Dish explaining her absence.

"Karen made the important decision to enter a private recovery program, so [she] was unable to attend the reunion taping today," he said on January 9. "She was fully supported in this choice. We stand behind Karen as she embarks on this meaningful journey and are proud of her for taking such a significant step forward in her personal growth."

A few weeks before the reunion taped, Karen's attorney, A. Scott Bolden, released a statement to People about her guilty verdict.

"Although we are disappointed in the jury’s verdict, we of course respect their decision and appreciate their time hearing our case," he stated to the outlet.

"We continue to reserve Mrs. Huger’s right to an appeal and intend to fully pursue justice on her behalf," he continued. "We appreciate your support and prayers for Mrs. Huger and her family at this time."
