There have been numerous children of Housewives stars who have made indelible marks on the shows. Gia Giudice of Real Housewives of New Jersey fame is one of the first that comes to mind.

Not only is she following in the footsteps of her mother, Teresa Giudice, by pursuing a career in the public eye, but she also seems to be a pretty intelligent young woman, and she’s even considering law school. Recently, she took a break from being the lighthearted person everyone knows her as and opened up about a health scare.

Fans were first introduced to Gia, 24, in season one of RHONJ in 2009. Since then, she has made countless appearances on the show and is also starring in her own upcoming reality show, Making It In Manhattan. In it, she’ll star alongside other celebrity kids, including Riley BurrussBrooks MarksAriana Biermann, and more. The latest reports say it will air on Bravo in 2025.

Gia recently took to her official TikTok account and opened up about finding a lump under her armpit, which could signal several serious health issues. The RHONJ star began the video, “Waking up this morning, I knew today was going to be a lot.”

She goes on, “Last night, I found a little lump right below my left armpit, but I just woke up and did my normal routine like any other day. I always have to keep going; otherwise, I will drive myself insane.”

She then says that she went to pilates, but she knew that she would need to call around to have a medical professional evaluate the lump. From there, the video shows Gia going about her life as she prepares to take the scary step of seeing a doctor. This includes doing her skincare routine and making her bed. The TikTok video also shows a bit of her pilates class and her having to get blood work done because she’s on Accutane, an acne medication.

The video continues by showing Gia going to a doctor’s appointment and scheduling an ultrasound for the same day. She says, “From the doctor’s observation, they think it’s a lipoma, which is basically when fatty cells group together and form a lump on your body.”

Gia adds, “This entire experience was just very overwhelming. I’m so scared, and just seeing other patients in the waiting room and what other people are going through, it just got me so upset.”

As the video goes on, Gia shows a range of emotions. She’s clearly stressed, but there’s also a visible sigh of relief following the revelation that the lump was a lipoma and not something more serious. After the ordeal, Gia gets lunch with her cousins as a way to take her mind off the stressful day.

Still, anyone who experiences sudden changes in their body, such as discovering lumps, should see a medical professional as soon as possible.
