Giants just gifted the Bills the missing piece to a Super Bowl ring

The NFL Draft is underway and former Bills’ assistant general manager Joe Schoen, who is now running the show for the New York Giants has decided to pass on quarterback Shedeur Sanders and draft Abdul Carter out of Penn State. The Giants are bringing Carter to the Big Apple to pair with Brian Burns, who they acquired last offseason.

While Carter is an exciting prospect and might even be the best prospect in the draft, this leaves edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux potentially on the trade block. After giving Burns a brand new deal last season and now having Carter at the start of his rookie deal, Thibodeaux might be on his way out of New York.

Thibodeaux is heading into his fourth year of his rookie deal and while he has shown promise to be an impactful player for the future, the Giants must clearly feel different. He had a solid 2023 season with 11.5 sacks and has had double digit QB hits every single season since 2022. It’s actually quite shocking that Thibodeaux might potentially be available now that Carter is heading to New York.

With Thibodeaux potentially being a trade candidate, the Buffalo Bills should be on the phone immediately to see what it would cost to bring Thibodeaux to Western New York.

Giants may have just gifted the missing piece to Bills to win Super Bowl

The Bills have been criticized for not having a consistent pass rush, despite them taking swings for the fences with the signing of Von Miller back in 2022, and now the free agent signing of Joey Bosa. They have built up their defensive line over the last few seasons and adding Thibodeaux might just be the missing piece who can help create pressure for the Bills.

Maybe Thibodeaux will still be a Giant in 2025, but having Carter now on the roster may have just hurt his future long-term in New York. With Schoen and Brandon Beane having the connection, maybe a deal just might strike that brings Thibodeaux to Buffalo to help them with their Super Bowl run in 2025.
