Gizelle Bryant Gives Funny Eminem Lawsuit Update

This Real Housewives x rap industry crossover was never on anyone’s bingo card. Nonetheless, this unexpected feud has been going on for over a year now. Real Housewives of Potomac stars Gizelle Bryant and alum Robyn Dixon were thrust into a legal dispute with rapper Eminem back in 2023. The basis of his argument is that their Reasonably Shady podcast is too closely related to his iconic nickname, Slim Shady.

The court proceedings have been going back and forth ever since. After the rapper initially won the case, the RHOP stars brought it back a few months ago for reconsideration. It’s been a hot mess, but at least Gizelle has been able to find the comedy in the chaos.

Gizelle Bryant’s kids won’t listen to Eminem due to the Reasonably Shady lawsuit

Gizelle recently spoke about the shady case and joked that it’s had a lasting impression on her family.

One of Succession's best characters was almost a man

“Oh my God, no. And it’s funny, because if it comes on the radio, in the car, my kids would be like, ‘That’s Eminem. Turn it.’ My kids are on top of it. They know. No, no Eminem for us,” she told PEOPLE.

On a more serious note, the reality TV star did give an update on the pace of the lawsuit.

“We’re at the tail end, but you have to understand, it’s like a Patent and Trade issue, and they have their own timeline for when it’s over. So we’re on their timeline. Next step is for him to be deposed. And so, we’ll see what happens from there.”

Needless to say, Eminem is probably not going to make an appearance on their podcast.

The Real Housewives of Potomac is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
