With Alex Pietrangelo’s career likely over, they need an experienced right-shot defenseman on their top pairing. Karlsson plays a more offensive style than Pietrangelo, which could bolster their scoring punch,” Richardson wrote.
Karlsson could be a major addition to this Golden Knights blueline, and it could help get them over the hump. His offensive production would be a welcome sight for Vegas, and it would force opposing teams to take this team more seriously.
Last season with the Penguins, Karlsson put up 11 goals and 42 assists. His impact on a game shouldn’t be overstated, and Vegas has the tools to make a deal happen.
