Golden Knights' William Karlsson Wins Bronze Medal At 2025 World Championship

Vegas Golden Knights forward William Karlsson secured a bronze medal at the 2025 IIHF Men's World Championship.

Following the Golden Knights' elimination in the playoffs, Karlsson departed for Stockholm, Sweden, to join his countrymen at the World Championship. He played in four games, recording just one assist en route to gathering his second medal.

Sweden lost to Team USA in the semi-finals, creating a matchup between Karlsson and Sweden against Jonas Rondbjerg and Denmark in the bronze medal game, with Sweden defeating Denmark 6-2.

Denmark finished fourth in the tournament, the highest placing they've ever had at the World Championship. They snuck into the knockout rounds with a win against Germany on the final matchday of the preliminary round before pulling off one of, if not the biggest, upsets in tournament history, defeating Team Canada in the quarter-finals. Canada has a 1-0 lead late in the third, but two quick goals from Denmark eliminate one of the tournament favourites.

Rondbjerg finished the tournament with two goals in five points, both of which came in his first game after arriving.
