As the 2025 NFL Draft continues to draw closer, the Green Bay Packers are an intriguing team to keep an eye on. Brian Gutekunst still has needs to address and the Packers want to win a championship.

With that in mind, it could be possible to see the team pursue trades for proven players if the price is right and they don’t have to give up their first-round pick. Adding talent to the cornerback position, pass rush, and wide receiver room seem the most likely routes of interest.

One intriguing player has come up as a potential trade target for Green Bay to pursue.

Over the last week, Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jack Jones has come up as a potential trade candidate. If the Raiders are unable to move him via a trade, it seems likely that the team would release him. They seem ready to part ways.

Jones would be a very interesting target for contenders that need help in the secondary.

Dharya Sharma of The Sporting News has suggested the Packers as a potential destination for Jones, whether via trade or free agency if he’s released.

“The Packers added a former Raider to their secondary in free agency, inking Nate Hobbs to a three-year contract to serve as the primary nickel corner. Why not take a flyer on Jones and reunite him with Hobbs? Green Bay lost Eric Stokes to Las Vegas in free agency, and replacing him with Jones would be a solid move by general manager Brian Gutekunst.”

During the 2024 NFL season with Las Vegas, Jones played in 17 regular season games. He recorded 69 total tackles to go along with three interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and 16 defended passes.

At 27 years old, Jones played at a very high level last season. If he can continue to play at that level, he could elevate any secondary in the NFl. For Green Bay, he would be worth taking a flier on if the Packers decide to move on from Jaire Alexander.
