Hannah Berner is opening up about the one thing that "saved" her marriage to husband Des Bishop.
The Summer House alum tied the knot with the Irish comedian in the Hamptons in May 2022 after about two years of dating, and she just shared an update on their marriage.
In a chat with Parade in February 2025, the Giggly Squad podcast co-host revealed that Lactaid has helped their marriage survive. "It's saved us. He literally said that to me as I left to come here. He goes, 'Tell them [it] saved our marriage.' And I said yes. So [to] anyone who's struggling in their marriage, Lactaid will solve all of your problems. It really has. We live in a one bedroom apartment with one bathroom."
Who is Hannah Berner's husband, Des Bishop?
The 49-year-old is a comedian who was largely raised in New York City (like Hannah). Des moved to Ireland when he was a teenager, and he kicked off his comedy career in the '90s there.
In addition to hosting, appearing on TV shows, and doing stand-up, Des has competed on the Ireland version of Dancing with the Stars.
Des and Hannah currently co-host a podcast together called Berner Phone.

Viewers saw Hannah's romances with British Dave and Luke Gulbranson play out on Seasons 3 and 4 of Summer House, but things changed for her when she returned for Season 5.
In July 2020, she began communicating with Des on Instagram — and the two hit it off after meeting up at a coffee shop in the Hamptons.
Though they only started dating during the pandemic in 2020, it quickly became clear to both Des and Hannah that their romance was different. The pair moved in together in the fall, and Des spoke about their special connection during an appearance on RTE Radio One.
"We clicked immediately. It has been quite an intense falling in love experience ... It's been a more powerful sort of falling for somebody than I have ever experienced in my life so I would be confident in saying I will certainly make an effort that it is it because it feels like it is The One," he said.
In February 2021, Des popped the question to Hannah with a round-cut diamond on a gold band.
"I’m in bed with my Invisalign on, and my breath is terrible,” Hannah to People said about the proposal . “And he’s just kneeling on the side, and then he just pulls out the ring. I think I just made weird crying noises."
"I was fairly certain fairly quickly that Hannah was the one for me," Des said about his decision to propose. "When I met her the first time, my immediate thought was not only is she beautiful, but I just want to spend all the time with her because she's so much fun."
About 15 months later, the couple exchanged vows in front of Summer House cast members Ciara Miller and Paige DeSorbo.
