Hannah Brown‘s journey to finding lasting love has been anything but conventional, taking her from Alabama pageant queen to reality TV star to engaged woman planning her dream wedding. The former “Bachelorette” has navigated high-profile relationships, heartbreak, and ultimately discovered her perfect match outside the world of reality television with fiancé Adam Woolard.
Brown’s romantic timeline began long before she stepped into the spotlight on “The Bachelor” in 2019. During her high school years at the University of Alabama, she dated Brandon Hall, her prom date from 2013, according to Us Weekly. Their relationship continued into college before ending in 2016, followed by a year-long romance with Austin Williams, which concluded in the summer of 2017.
Her entry into Bachelor Nation came through Colton Underwood’s season of “The Bachelor,” where she made it to week seven before being eliminated ahead of hometown dates. The couple made their relationship Instagram official on Valentine’s Day 2021, with Brown writing: “Happy Valentine’s Day @admandew,” alongside a photo of them kissing on horseback. Woolard reciprocated with his own post captioned: “My sweetie♥️.”
Their relationship developed naturally, with Brown sharing details about their first date during a March 2021 YouTube video. “He asked me out and it was a Mexican restaurant called Chulita. We had margaritas,” she recalled, also revealing Woolard’s first impression of her: “Effortlessly beautiful and vibrant and a little frantic, but so beautiful. Instant spark.”
By May 2022, the couple confirmed they had moved in together in Santa Monica, later relocating to Nashville in March 2023. Their relationship milestones included adopting a puppy named Wally in January 2022 and traveling together through France, with Brown posting, “Provence and @admandew, they both stole my heart 💚.”
In January 2023, Brown discussed engagement possibilities with Us Weekly, sharing: “Of course we’ve talked about it, but I am so great where we’re at. I think he is too, but I do think it could be a possibility at some point. But [it’s] not something that I’m rushing.”
She praised Woolard’s supportive nature, telling the outlet: “He’s the best. He’s just the most encouraging, optimistic person. He is just so great at encouraging me and just celebrating the life that we have together. We’re doing great. I’ve always said this, but he just continues to make me feel just so comfortable in who I am and who we are.”
The engagement finally came in August 2023 after more than two years of dating. Brown announced the news on Instagram with several photos from the proposal, writing: “So happy. I love our steady love.”
The couple’s commitment to their relationship has included thoughtful decisions about their living situation. In January 2025, Brown revealed they were not living together while preparing for their summer wedding. “We have lived together [since] eight months into our relationship and we decided to just trust God and we are not living in this house together until we get married this summer,” she explained in an Instagram Story video.
“It was obviously a big decision and very different and new, but we both separately were having these thoughts in our prayer and just feeling the Lord to call us to do this,” Brown continued, noting that their relationship was “really great” since making this choice. “I felt the most connected to Adam that I ever had because we are so intentional about the time that we have together.”
Brown has also returned to Bachelor Nation as Head of Paradise Relations on “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 10, bringing her relationship wisdom to help other contestants. Speaking to StyleCaster, she reflected on her journey: “Every opportunity I’ve had stems from my time on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, so I will always be thankful for the opportunity I had.”
