“He beat me, threatened to kill me… and now he wants spousal support?” – Denise Richards drops bombshell as RHOBH cameras roll

Denise Richards was spotted filming with “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars Sutton Stracke and Erika Jayne. The three were having dinner, with “cameras capturing her dramatic entrance and intimate conversations about her ongoing divorce battle,” TMZ reports.

Richards’ estranged husband, Aaron Phypers filed for divorce on July 7 after six years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Phypers reportedly asked for spousal support. Shortly after, Richards requested and was granted a restraining order, alleging that Phypers physically abused her during their relationship.

PEOPLE obtained court documents that included a photo of Richards with a black eye along with the alleged details of Phyper’s physical assault. She “cited July 4-14 as the date of the most recent alleged assault.”

The outlet added that she was “afraid” to report Phypers “because he has repeatedly threatened to kill himself and me if I reported him to the police, among his other threats of harm to me and himself if he is reported for his abuse to anyone.”

Upon hearing this, fans immediately rushed to show Richards their support.

“Thinking of you bbygrl,” one fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, tagging Richards.

“Poor Denise. I wish she could just find a calm but smoking hot man who would treat her like a queen,” another fan wrote on a post by a bravo fan account.

Phypers released a statement to TMZ following Richards’ accusations, “claiming he never physically or emotionally abused Denise, or anyone else for that matter.” The outlet added that he called the accusations “false and deeply hurtful.”

He then interviewed with TMZ, where he said that the couple’s July 4 fight was because he claims he caught her cheating, having found text messages on her laptop.

“He tells us he confronted Denise about the alleged affair, and, ultimately, they decided to stay together — that is, until a huge fight over the July 4th weekend prompted Phypers to file for divorce,” TMZ wrote.

“Aaron says Denise texted his mom that weekend to say she was going to divorce him — so, he decided to beat her to court and file first.
